This was our final STEM professional development session for the year as part of the Wodonga Government Schools Communities of Practice. We wrapped up our formal collaboration by revisiting our definition of STEM and looking at how it fits into teaching and learning.
This is a great hands on STEM activity with plenty of scope for inquiry across curriculum areas. In this get together we explored how this activity could involve the design process, fabrication technology, and the science of both chemical reactions and motion. Really simple, easy, low cost and very flexible. Could also be extended into a more mathematical focus on geometry.
